HOW SHEEPHOUSE REALLY GOT IT"S NAME
by

Did you ever hear
the real story of
how the Sheep house got it's name? Well, the way I first heard it was like this.
There
was
an
outfit logging up there
in the Nor' West country and an
old ram, that's
a male sheep, wandered into the camp yard
one day. It
must have got lost from a farm over on the Chaplin Island Road somewhere's. It
could have walked for miles.
I've heard of animals getting lost and wandering from Sillier all the way over to the Nor' West and out the Chaplin Island Road.
Anyway, this sheep hung around the camp. It was probably too scared to bead back into the woods or maybe it
was just lonesome and wanted to be around some people.
After
it
hung around the camp for a few days some of
the men built it a little house for shelter. It
lived
there with
that
logging crew all that winter. They sort of
made a pet of it. Sheep!!!!! House!!!!! Get
it?
Now you know the real reason why that place is
called Sheep house.
Long before I ever heard of
The
Sheep house Falls I heard the story of
that
sheep and it's little house.
